How to read the archive.

Solution badges, curation states, and hot markers are generated from typed data now, so the homepage and this legend stay consistent.

Solution links

Badges combine rank with format.

1st place 2nd place 3rd place Community pick

Code means a repository or implementation is linked.
Write-up means the link is primarily explanatory.
Notebook means a Kaggle notebook or kernel is linked.
Community pick means the resource is useful but not tied to a ranked finish.

Curation states

Status pills reflect review state, not just link count.

Curated Needs review Missing Hot

Curated means the competition has been reviewed and published as a finished entry.
Needs review means there are some links, but the entry is still marked incomplete in the YAML.
Missing means no solution links have been added yet.
Hot flags a competition as especially notable or timely.

Maintenance notes

The authoring workflow did not change.

The archive still reads from data/competitions.yml.
done: "true" marks an entry as curated.
done: "false" keeps the entry in the missing bucket, even if partial links already exist.
isHot: "true" adds the Hot status without affecting curation state.
